Adhesive selection considerations

a. There are no all-purpose adhesives in the world, different adherends, and the best choice is to use special adhesives.
b. The strength of the adherend itself is low, so you don't need to use high-strength products. Otherwise, you will use less material and increase the cost.
c. It is not possible to emphasize only the high initial strength, but consider that the durability is good.
d. The performance of high temperature curing adhesives is much higher than room temperature curing. For high strength and good durability, high temperature curing adhesives are required.
e. For a cyanoacrylate adhesive (502 super glue), besides emergency or small-area repair and continuous production, it is not suitable to use high bonding strength data.
a. White latex and urea-formaldehyde rubber cannot be used for adhesive metals.
b. Requires transparency of the adhesive, can use polyurethane adhesive, optical epoxy glue, saturated polyester, polyvinyl acetal glue.
c. Adhesives should not be corrosive to adherends. Such as: polystyrene foam board, can not use solvent neoprene adhesive.
d. Higher brittle adhesives are not suitable for soft materials.
4. Notes on the use of adhesives:
a. For the AB component of the adhesive, in the ratio, please match the requirements of the specification.
b. For the AB component adhesive, be sure to mix thoroughly before use. Can't stay dead, otherwise it won't cure.
c. The adherend must be cleaned and there should be no moisture (except for underwater curing glue).
d. In order to achieve high bonding strength, the adherend is polished as far as possible.
e. Adhesion joint design is good or bad, determine the strength of the bond.
f. When the adhesive is used, it must be ready for use. It must not be left for too long. If it is fast curing, it should not exceed 2 minutes.
g. For high strength, fast curing, depending on the conditions of heating, when gluing, should not be too thick, generally 0.5mm is better, the thicker the worse the bonding effect.
h. When bonding an object, it is best to apply pressure or fix it with a jig.
i. In order to make the strength higher, it is better to leave it for 24 hours after bonding.
j. One-component solvent or water formulation, must be mixed evenly when used.
k. For solvent-based products, after gluing, be sure to cool it until it is not sticky. Adhesion is then required.
